On March 13, 2010, we’ll take it from farm to table to gavel when we celebrate our valley’s rich agricultural roots at Festa Primavera on the Farm 2010 benefiting the St. Helena Montessori School. Held at Silver Oak Cellars, the 22nd annual event promises a festive farm atmosphere and an entertaining good ol’ time with plenty to whet the bidders’ appetite . . . and, oh yes, we’re frying chicken, baking biscuits and rolling lots and lots of piecrust! The Silent Auction begins at 4:30pm and bidders take their seats for the Live Auction at 7:00pm. Join in the festivities as auctioneer Fritz Hatton tempts the crowd with a collector’s dream of hard-to-find wines, large format bottles, sought-after verticals, as well as rare vintages. We’ll send you to fish and hike on an exquisite ranch in Colorado; to ski with Olympians in Park City, UT; or to enjoy your own idyllic farmhouse in the rolling hills of Burgundy. We have dinners with winemakers, seats to the U.S. Open, a trip to Blackberry Farm, and a chance to own your very own, fully restored 1952 Chevy pick-up! And that’s just the beginning. This year there will also be opportunities for the community to provide support for farm and garden projects at the school's new campus.
